Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus has been charged by the Football Association (FA) following his red card during West Ham’s 4-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur.

Kudus received a red card for pushing both Pape Matar Sarr and Micky van de Ven in the face in the dying moments of the match on Saturday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
As a result, he is now facing a minimum suspension of three games. The FA has stated he is charged with “acting in an improper manner and/or using violent conduct” in connection with the incident.
Both clubs, Tottenham and West Ham, have also been charged for failing to control their players during the match. Kudus and both teams must respond to the FA charges by Thursday.
The incident escalated when Kudus appeared to kick out at Van de Ven, leading to a scuffle.
Initially booked, he received a red card after a VAR review prompted referee Andrew Madley to reevaluate the situation at the pitchside monitor.
Kudus’s suspension means he will miss vital matches against Manchester United, Nottingham Forest, and Everton, placing additional pressure on new West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui, who is already facing scrutiny for a slow start to the season.
