Former Ghana international Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu believes that Mohammed Kudus will learn and grow from his recent red card incident in the Premier League.

Kudus found himself at the center of controversy after receiving a red card during a heated match against Tottenham Hotspur on October 20, shortly after the international break. The altercation, involving Micky van de Ven and Pape Matar Sarr, led to a dismissal in West Ham’s 4-1 defeat.

The English Football Association (FA) has charged Kudus for improper conduct, and both he and West Ham could face disciplinary actions as a result of the on-field melee.

The seriousness of the situation is underscored by the potential penalties that could significantly impact Kudus’ season.

In defense of the 23-year-old midfielder, Agyemang-Badu stated, “Mistakes are a natural part of football, and he just needs encouragement and support.”

He expressed strong belief in Kudus’ potential, saying, “I truly believe he will become one of the greatest players to emerge from Africa.”

Reflecting on Kudus’ performance, Agyemang-Badu noted that while the year began promisingly for him, his emotions ultimately led to the red card incident.

He remains optimistic about Kudus’ future growth, stating, “Being young, he will learn from this experience and improve. Gradually, we will see him progress and potentially join some of the greatest clubs in the world.”

Kudus has already served one match of his three-game suspension as West Ham United managed to end a poor run of form by defeating Manchester United on Sunday.
