Millicent Bruce, the CEO of Kwams Petroleum, has been enstooled as the Development Chief of Gomoa Esaabakrom, taking on the title Sompahene Nana Nanka Bruce I. The ceremony took place on Thursday, December 26, at the Nana Bentum Okyerefo Palace in Kasoa CP.
Millicent Bruce, a supply chain specialist and operator of various earth-moving equipment, is also a hardware merchant and public servant. The title of Sompahene, meaning “Good Servant,” is an honor bestowed upon individuals who have significantly contributed to the development and well-being of the community.
In his remarks, Nana Bentum Okyerefo Osegubroni I, the chief of Gomoa Esaabakrom, praised Millicent Bruce for her efforts toward the region’s growth, highlighting that her contributions justified the honor of the Sompahene Stool.
As Sompahene, Millicent Bruce will now swear allegiance to Nana Bentum Okyerefo Osegubroni I and continue her work to promote the development of Gomoa Esaabakrom.
Gratitude
Sompahene Nana Nanka Bruce I expressed appreciation for the responsibility bestowed on her and pledged to contribute to bringing development to Gomoa Esaabakrom.
She further expressed gratitude to the traditional leaders for the confidence reposed in her by the chief and the entire community.
Prayers
Prayers were offered for the newly enstooled Sompahene by the religious and the Moslem community for God’s blessing and guidance as she serves in her new role.
The enstoolment was well attended by MPs, Businessmen, Chiefs, Head Pastors of Assemblies of God, music stars, Military Generals, Colonels, Captains, some Police officers, Traditional Leaders as well as close family members.
The ceremony was also graced by a host of dignitaries including Madam Lesley A.
