Popular radio dj, broadcaster and artist manager Dj Brusky has painfully voiced out how entertainment industry in Sekondi – Takoradi is dying.

Speaking to RadioMan Symple on GhanaTalks Radio’s Kasa Kakra show, the official DJ for Kofi Kinaata’s 2021 “Made In Tadi” edition and the after drive host of sharp 106.9 fm said entertainment in Sekondi – Takoradi has grown now as compared to 7 years ago where there was not enough recording studios in the region and artists not being relevant on social media.

“Most event organizers here in Sekondi – Takoradi are holding up their plans for hosting events that will boast our industry because there’s no place to host them”, he hinted. Dj Brusky has worked with artistes such as rapper Origee, Anlo Soldiers and others.

“Lack of event centres, auditoriums and venues for event is affecting our entertainment industry badly. Major concerts like Western Music Awards, Made In Tadi, Miss Western, WRTP awards and others are losing it credibility and audience because we don’t have proper venues to host them,” he said.

Dj Brusky also mentioned that, after the jubilee park was given to market women, Gyandu Park and Essipon Sport Stadium has been in a bad state to host events while the cultural centre is being given to Pastors for their church service.
