Bibiani GoldStars’ head coach, Frimpong Manso, has clarified that winning the Ghana Premier League is not the club’s primary goal this season.

Despite leading the table with 15 points after seven games—remaining unbeaten with four wins and three draws—Manso emphasized a more measured approach in an interview with Akoma FM.

“For now, we haven’t set a specific goal. Our focus is on earning as many points as possible from each game and finishing the season in a respectable position,” Manso stated. He noted that many of his players are relatively new to the league, and he wants to avoid creating undue pressure.

“I don’t want to say we’re aiming for the league title after just seven games, as that would place too much pressure on the players. Many are experiencing the Premier League for the first time. However, if the opportunity to win arises, we’ll take it,” he added.

The coach also stressed that the team would maintain a winning mindset for each match while remaining realistic about their prospects. He urged fans to continue supporting the team, promising a positive outcome by the end of the season.

“I encourage the fans to keep supporting us, and by the season’s end, something good will definitely happen,” he assured.

GoldStars are set to face Hearts of Oak in their next Ghana Premier League fixture at the Legon Stadium.
