Leicester City has reached an agreement to sign Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew for a reported fee of £8 million.

The 32-year-old Ghanaian international is set to undergo a medical with the Foxes to finalize the transfer.

Ayew has been a significant player for Crystal Palace, initially joining the club on loan in August 2018 before making the move permanent in July 2019.

Over his time at Selhurst Park, Ayew made 212 appearances, scoring 23 goals and providing 22 assists across all competitions.

Even though Ayew has contributed significantly, his role has been reduced under the new manager, Oliver Glasner, and he recently started on the bench during Palace’s 2-1 loss to Brentford.

Leicester City, who moved up to the Premier League last season, wants to bring Ayew’s experience and skills to their team.

After starting their season with a 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur, they hope Ayew will improve their attack.

Although Ayew had interest from Saudi Arabian clubs this summer, he is now set to make a permanent move to Leicester City.
