Liverpool continued their flawless start under new manager Arne Slot with a commanding 3-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The win not only highlighted Liverpool’s dominance but also increased the pressure on United’s manager Erik ten Hag, who recently signed a new contract despite a challenging summer.

From the start, Liverpool set a pace that United struggled to match.

Although Trent Alexander-Arnold had an early goal disallowed for offside, Luis Diaz quickly put Liverpool ahead.

The Colombian forward struck twice before halftime, capitalizing on defensive mistakes by United’s Casemiro. Diaz first headed in a cross from Mohamed Salah in the 35th minute, then swept in another pass from Salah seven minutes later.

Salah added a third goal in the 56th minute, netting his 12th goal in 15 appearances against United after receiving a pinpoint pass from Dominik Szoboszlai.

Despite a few chances for United, particularly through Joshua Zirkzee, Liverpool’s defense remained solid throughout the match.

This victory marked Liverpool’s third consecutive Premier League win without conceding a goal since Slot replaced Jurgen Klopp.

In contrast, United’s disappointing performance has led to further criticism, raising questions about Ten Hag’s tactics and the team’s overall identity as they struggle to find their footing this season.

As Liverpool builds momentum under Slot, their attention will turn to upcoming fixtures, while United must regroup and address their issues before the international break.
