Liverpool continued their dominant Premier League campaign with a commanding 4-0 victory over Ipswich Town at Anfield. The Reds showcased their attacking flair, strengthening their bid for a first league title since 2020.

Arne Slot’s men took control early when Dominik Szoboszlai opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a sensational strike from the edge of the box, assisted by Ibrahima Konate.

Mohamed Salah doubled the lead in the 35th minute, rifling a fierce shot past Ipswich goalkeeper Christian Walton to notch his 23rd goal of the season. The goal also marked a historic milestone for the Egyptian star, who has now scored 100 Premier League goals at Anfield.

Cody Gakpo added to Ipswich’s woes with a close-range finish in the 44th minute after Walton failed to hold Szoboszlai’s powerful shot. The Dutch forward struck again in the 66th minute, rising to meet Trent Alexander-Arnold’s pinpoint cross with a clinical header.

Despite a stoppage-time goal from Jacob Greaves for Ipswich, the visitors remain in the relegation zone, having conceded 10 goals in their last two matches.

Liverpool’s victory marked their 16th win from 22 games, keeping them at the top of the table with a game in hand over second-placed Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Arsenal had to dig deep to secure a dramatic 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux Stadium.

The Gunners, without captain Martin Odegaard due to illness, faced adversity when 18-year-old Lewis-Skelly was controversially sent off in the 43rd minute for a foul on Matt Doherty to halt a Wolves counter-attack.

Despite being down to 10 men, Arsenal held their ground until Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes received a second yellow card in the 70th minute, leveling the playing field.

Just four minutes later, Italian defender Riccardo Calafiori produced a moment of magic, volleying home the winner after a scramble in the box. Arsenal’s resilience ensured they stayed within reach of Liverpool in the title race.

Elsewhere, Bournemouth produced a stunning performance, crushing Nottingham Forest 5-0 at the Vitality Stadium. Dango Ouattara was the hero, netting a hat-trick, while Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo also found the back of the net. The win extended Bournemouth’s unbeaten run to 11 games and propelled them to sixth in the table.

Newcastle United climbed into the top four with a 3-1 comeback victory over bottom-placed Southampton. Alexander Isak starred once again, scoring twice to take his season tally to 19 goals, while Sandro Tonali added a third to seal the win.

David Moyes celebrated his 700th Premier League game as a manager by guiding Everton to a crucial 1-0 victory over Brighton. A first-half penalty from Iliman Ndiaye secured the win, lifting Everton seven points clear of the relegation zone.
