President John Dramani Mahama has unveiled a fresh set of ministerial nominees, aligning with his vision for governance and national progress.
Key among the nominations is Haruna Iddrisu, a former Minority Leader in Parliament, who has been appointed as the Minister-designate for Education. Iddrisu’s extensive political experience is expected to drive significant reforms in the education sector.

Kwame Agbodza, a prominent government official, has been named the Minister-designate for Roads and Highways. This appointment is crucial for advancing infrastructure development and improving national connectivity.
In the agricultural sector, Eric Opoku has been nominated as the Minister-designate for Food and Agriculture. Opoku brings a wealth of experience in rural development and is tasked with boosting food security and supporting the nation’s farmers.
The newly created Ministry for Youth Development and Empowerment will be headed by NDC Youth Organiser, Opare Addo. His leadership is aimed at tackling youth unemployment, promoting innovation, and implementing programs that focus on empowering Ghana’s younger population.
Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare has been nominated to head the Ministry for Trade and Agribusiness. Her role will involve strengthening Ghana’s trade relations and promoting agribusiness as a key driver of economic growth.
Ahmed Ibrahim has been nominated to lead the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs while Emelia Arthur has been nominated to head the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture.
