President John Dramani Mahama has made a series of strategic security appointments to enhance national security and safeguard citizens.

The appointments include Prosper Douglas Bani as National Security Advisor to the President. Bani, a former Chief of Staff and Minister for the Interior, brings valuable experience in governance and security.
Additionally, DCOP Abdul-Osman Razak has been appointed National Security Coordinator, tasked with coordinating and ensuring the effectiveness of the country’s security strategies.
COP Nathan Kofi Boakye (Rtd.) has been named Director of Operations at the Presidency, where he will manage operational security matters. Boakye is highly regarded for his extensive service and operational expertise.
The announcement was made in a statement by Felix Ofosu Kwakye, Acting Spokesperson to the President.
Additionally, Charles Kipo has been appointed Director General of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB), a critical role that focuses on intelligence gathering and analysis to preempt security threats.
These appointments reflect the administration’s dedication to maintaining national security and fostering trust among citizens.
