President-elect John Dramani Mahama has urged members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to increase their spiritual commitment, stressing the need for even more fervent prayers than during the election campaign.
In his address to NDC supporters, Mahama emphasized the importance of seeking divine guidance to equip the party with the wisdom and strength to implement policies that will enhance the lives of all Ghanaians.

He said, “This is the time we need to pray more fervently than we did during the campaign, for God to grant us the strength and wisdom to make Ghana a better place to live. I believe it is already done; God has already seen us through.”
Mahama also criticized the outgoing New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration, accusing it of leaving behind significant debts, particularly in the education and energy sectors, which his government will need to address. He suggested that these financial burdens were strategically created by the NPP to hinder his success.
However, Mahama expressed confidence that, with divine guidance, he would overcome these challenges and deliver on his promises.
“The NPP government has set a trap for us. But we shall not be caught in that trap; we will escape unscathed. The Almighty God who granted us electoral victory will see us through the difficulties ahead until we achieve success. God will give us the wisdom to lead this country and make it better for future generations.”
Mahama addressed the delays in the disbursement of funds to WAEC by referring to a Facebook post that criticized the postponement.
