The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has urged Ghanaians not to repeat the mistakes of the 2016 and 2020 elections by voting for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

During a mini rally at the Nsawam Adoagyiri lorry station, Mahama called on Ghanaians to take the opportunity to change the country’s struggling fortunes by voting for him and the NDC.

On the first day of his five-day tour in the Eastern Region on Monday, November 18, the former president highlighted the growing dissatisfaction among NPP supporters with the party’s leadership, noting that many have lost interest in this year’s elections.

Mahama emphasized that this disillusionment presents a clear opportunity for change, encouraging voters to choose the NDC for a better future.

“In 2016 we made a wrong choice, in 2020 we repeated that choice but I know that on 7th December 2024, we are going to correct the mistake that we made and bring NDC back into government.”

“…At all times, everyone wants a good life and development. There are consequences to our choices: if we vote well, there will be freedom and development; but if we don’t, there will be hardships. So, December 7th is another opportunity to right the wrong by voting for the NDC,” he stated.
