Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has criticized former President John Dramani Mahama, calling him divisive and unfit to lead Ghana again.

Speaking at Mpasatia in the Atwima Mponua Constituency, Dr. Opoku Prempeh emphasized the need for a unifying leader, accusing Mahama of making statements that sow division and tension among Ghanaians.

He contrasted Mahama’s approach with that of Dr. Bawumia, whom he described as a unifier with the right qualities to lead the nation.

Dr. Opoku Prempeh argued that Mahama has used tribal rhetoric for political advantage, referencing past comments where Mahama suggested the NPP would never support Dr. Bawumia, a northerner, as their leader.

Condemning Mahama’s alleged divisive rhetoric, Dr. Opoku Prempeh asserted that Ghanaian leaders should promote unity and reject tribalism.

He urged voters to support Dr. Bawumia, praising him as a development-oriented leader capable of uniting the country and guiding it towards prosperity.
