President John Dramani Mahama will kick off his nationwide ‘Thank You Tour’ on Friday, January 24, with the first stop in the Volta Region.

The tour is part of Mahama’s commitment to expressing gratitude to Ghanaians for their unwavering support during the 2024 general elections.
A statement from the Presidency, signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Acting Spokesperson to the President, highlighted that the tour would not only serve as a thank-you platform but also strengthen the connection between the President and the people of Ghana.
The Volta Region, a stronghold of support during the elections, has been chosen as the starting point for the nationwide tour, setting the stage for a meaningful journey.
The Volta Region event will feature a grand durbar, bringing together a wide array of community and regional leaders, including chiefs, queen mothers, religious leaders, labour unions, and prominent figures from the informal sector.
The event aims to showcase the unity and strength of the region while celebrating the vital role citizens have played in Ghana’s democracy and development.
This tour comes at a time when President Mahama’s leadership is being praised for its decisive and progressive actions. Within two weeks of taking office, he made history by announcing a full cabinet, signalling his commitment to delivering on his campaign promises.
In the statement, the President’s Spokesperson also extended an invitation to all Ghanaians to participate in the Thank You Tour with pride and enthusiasm.
He described it as a special moment for the nation to come together and celebrate its collective achievements while reaffirming its commitment to unity and development.
