President-elect John Dramani Mahama has revealed plans to soon inaugurate the committee tasked with overseeing his first 120-day social contract, aimed at implementing key reforms and policies early in his administration.
Among the primary goals are the prompt nomination of cabinet ministers within the first 14 days, the formation of a lean and efficient government by day 90, the introduction of a comprehensive code of conduct and standards for all government officials, and the launch of a national economic dialogue focused on fiscal consolidation.

Mahama also plans to eliminate several levies, including the E-Levy, COVID-19 levy, 10% betting levy, and emissions levy.
During a courtesy visit from the Apostolic Fathers, Mahama remarked, “We have carefully selected the initiatives we believe are achievable within 120 days. We are committed to working diligently to ensure that, by the end of this period, we can successfully accomplish each one.”
“I will soon inaugurate a committee focused on achieving these goals. Under this, we have Operation Recover All Loot.”
“We want to raise accountability to another level. It’s in our constitution that we should uphold the principles of probity and accountability, so it’s a constitutional obligation for us to do so.”
