President John Dramani Mahama has stated that his government will require $1.7 billion to complete all unfinished Agenda 111 projects.
He disclosed that nearly 90 of the Agenda 111 hospitals initiated by the previous administration remain incomplete.

“The previous government started Agenda 111 but failed to finish the hospitals. Many are still unfinished, and even the ones they commissioned lack a single bed,” he remarked.
“We now need $1.7 billion to complete the Agenda 111 projects,” he added with concern.
Speaking during a meeting with the Christian Council, John Mahama proposed that religious bodies collaborate to help complete some of the delayed projects.
“If the missions have a hospital in an area, we are not coming to compete with the missions by building a hospital. We will use the resources to improve the mission hospitals so that they can provide the service.
“So I am also proposing that if some of the missions are interested, they could finish some of the hospitals and manage them,” he suggested.
He further assured that all the projects would be completed to meet the healthcare needs of Ghanaians.
