A man has been arrested for allegedly smashing the windscreens of several vehicles parked on the premises of Parliament on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing the suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, walking among the parked vehicles and using a metal object to break the windscreens. The motive for the act is yet to be determined.
Security personnel at Parliament responded quickly, apprehending the suspect at the scene.
At the time he was being arrested, he was heard saying “Father have mercy on them. Daddy, they don’t know what they are doing… It is for your own good.”
The suspect was handed to the Ghana Police Service.
