Manchester United were held to a frustrating goalless draw by Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, despite creating several clear-cut chances.
Coming off a 7-0 EFL Cup victory against Barnsley, Erik ten Hag’s team started positively, repeatedly breaking through Palace’s defense.

Alejandro Garnacho, who replaced Marcus Rashford in the starting lineup, had an early shot saved, while Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez were both denied by Crystal Palace’s goalkeeper, Dean Henderson. Garnacho later hit the crossbar, with the rebound falling to Bruno Fernandes, who also saw his effort clip the top of the bar.

Crystal Palace gradually found their rhythm, with Eberechi Eze forcing a save from Andre Onana.
In the second half, the match became more balanced, with chances for both sides.
Fernandes and Garnacho came close for United, while Palace’s Eddie Nketiah had an effort pushed into danger before being cleared by Onana. Eze squandered the best chance of the match, missing from 12 yards.
The result leaves Manchester United in 11th place, while Crystal Palace remain winless, sitting in 16th.
