Mawuena Adzo Trebah, sister of the renowned Komla Dumor and former Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), has passed away.
Details surrounding her demise have not been disclosed.Mrs. Trebah was a pioneering figure in her field, holding the prestigious position of GIPC CEO from April 2013 to January 2017, making her the first female to do so.

Her career was marked by various senior roles, including being the first female underground exploration geologist at the Ashanti Goldfields Company Ltd.
Her professional journey also encompassed significant positions at Newmont Ghana Gold Ltd., where she led Corporate Communications, and at Mobile Telecommunications Network (MTN), where she served as head of Corporate Service.
Beyond her corporate achievements, Mrs. Trebah was deeply engaged in entrepreneurship, founding and directing Inspire Africa as its Chief Business Strategist.
Mrs. Trebah is survived by her husband, Flt LT Divine Trebah, and their daughter, Katherine Joy. She leaves behind a legacy of groundbreaking leadership and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
