Award winning rapper Medikal has been criticized by Ghanaian entertainment pundit Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo for employing unnecessary stunts to promote his upcoming London concert at the Indigo O2 on May 3, 2024.
Arnold expressed his disappointment during his appearance on UTV’s United Showbiz show on Saturday, April 6, 2024.
He pointed out that Medikal, as one of the leading figures in the Ghanaian music scene, has outgrown the need for such attention-grabbing tactics.
Arnold stressed that Medikal’s reputation alone should be enough to attract audiences to his concert without the need for sensationalist tactics.
He emphasized the significance of effective promotion, noting that a well-planned marketing campaign would guarantee a successful attendance at the concert, taking into account the venue’s capacity of 2800 standing and 1800 sitting.
Recently, Medikal has been embroiled in public disputes regarding personal matters.
One such incident involved a confrontation with former AMG family member Showboy, which almost led to physical violence.
He has also chosen to separate himself from the AMG Business family and has even threatened physical harm against anyone associating him with the group.
Furthermore, Medikal publicly announced his separation from his wife, actress, and entrepreneur Fella Makafui.
