Melcom Group of Companies, a prominent retail chain in Ghana, has officially addressed recent speculation about its ownership structure.
In a public notice, the company confirmed that there has been no change in its ownership and that it remains privately owned, with no external shareholders.
The statement read: “We wish to inform the general public and all stakeholders that there has been no change in the ownership structure of Melcom Ltd. and its subsidiaries. The group remains privately held, with no external shareholding.”
The retail giant further urged the public to disregard any rumors or speculation about a shift in ownership, stating that such claims are unfounded and misleading.
“We kindly request that all rumours and speculation regarding changes in ownership be disregarded and ceased from circulation.”
