Minister for Information and Veteran Journalists, Fritz Baffour, has voiced concern over extreme politicisation of Ghana, beseeching leaders to prioritise development and national unity over political differences.

“We are all very affable outside the chamber, and I believe we should elongate that affability inside the chamber as well,” he said.

“my problem with Ghana is that we are not a developed country, we are a developing country. So we’ve got to work together we can’t demean each other.”

Mr.Fritz Baffour denounce the thriving influence of politics in institutions that require professionalism and neutrality, testifying that political intrusion hinders effective and clear decision-making.

“I hate the politicisation of Ghana,” he said. “I don’t believe that politics should cloud certain institutions because you need a clear mind in order to do things”

He highlights the dire need for political unity, warning that without cooperation, the country’s progress would retrogressed.

“Intrinsically, we have our distinctive positions, but we must start showing the people out there that we are working together. If we don’t, this country is not going to be saved,” he said.
