To maintain transparency and ensure a thorough investigation, the Medical Director has been temporarily relieved of duties, pending the outcome of the inquiry.
A five-member committee, comprising the GHS Deputy Director-General, a Ridge Hospital surgeon, and representatives from the Ministry of Health, Social Welfare Department, and a senior Nurse Manager, will conduct an independent inquiry.
The committee’s findings will inform appropriate action, holding accountable those involved in the incident.
The GHS Director-General assured the Minister that the Service will take all necessary steps to ensure that the investigation is thorough and impartial.
The Minister has requested a report within 30 days, ensuring a timely resolution.
