Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah has signed a new two-year contract with Liverpool, extending his stay at Anfield. His previous deal was set to expire in the summer, sparking speculation about his future, especially with links to a potential move to Saudi Arabia. However, Salah has now committed to the Reds for two more years.

Salah, 32, has made 393 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 243 goals and providing 109 assists. Reflecting on his decision to stay, Salah said, “Of course I’m very excited – we have a great team now. Before, we also had a great team, but I signed because I think we have a chance to win more trophies and enjoy my football.”
The forward, who has enjoyed a stellar career at Liverpool, added, “I’ve played eight years here, hopefully, it’s going to be 10. I’m enjoying my life here and my football. I’ve had the best years of my career here.”
This season, Salah has been in exceptional form, netting 32 goals in all competitions, with 27 of those coming in the Premier League. As Liverpool chase their 20th top-flight title, they hold an 11-point lead over second-placed Arsenal with seven games remaining.
Salah, who joined Liverpool from Roma in 2017, has won the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, and Fifa Club World Cup with the Reds.
He was one of three key Liverpool players who will be out of contract this summer, along with right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold and centre-back Virgil van Dijk.
Netherlands defender Van Dijk has said there has been progress on talks over a new deal but Alexander-Arnold has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid.
