Black Stars captain Mohammed Kudus has reassured Ghanaians of the team’s dedication to restoring the national squad to its previous levels of success.
In a letter addressing fans, Kudus apologized for the team’s lackluster performance in their recent doubleheader against Sudan during the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

He stated, “We want to assure Ghanaians that we are committed to learning from our mistakes, regrouping, and working tirelessly to restore the Black Stars to our former glory. We value the unwavering support and loyalty you’ve shown us, and we’re determined to make you proud once again.”
Kudus emphasized the importance of fan support during this challenging time, saying, “Your encouragement and faith in us will fuel our determination to succeed. We will not give up. We look forward to redeeming ourselves in the upcoming matches.”
Following disappointing results against Sudan, where the Black Stars drew and lost, the team faces the possibility of failing to qualify for the 2025 AFCON in Morocco.
