Morocco reached the semi-finals of the Paris 2024 Olympics with a 4-0 win over the USA at the Stade de France.

Achraf Hakimi scored as Morocco showed strong play in a one-sided game. They will play against the winner of the Japan vs. Spain match in the semi-finals.

Morocco took charge after Soufiane Rahimi scored a penalty in the 29th minute due to a foul by Nathan Harriel on an Al Ain player.

Ilias Akhomach extended Morocco’s lead with a close-range goal in the 63rd minute, and captain Achraf Hakimi, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain, scored a third goal with a brilliant finish in the 70th minute.

The USA’s struggles continued when VAR penalized Harriel for a handball, allowing substitute El Mehdi Maouhoub to score a penalty in added time and complete the 4-0 victory.

Morocco will now play either Spain or Japan in Marseille on Monday as they aim for a historic gold medal in the Olympics.
