During a meeting with stakeholders in the creative arts sector at Alisa Hotel in Accra on October 16, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia engaged with industry figures to discuss issues affecting the sector and explore policies to enhance the creative economy.

A lighthearted moment occurred when Shatta Wale humorously requested Dr. Bawumia to respond to his question in pidgin to better connect with the “ghetto” and “street” youth.

Shatta Wale’s aim was to ensure that his inquiry resonated with fans outside the political sphere.

In response, Dr. Bawumia obliged, saying, “Wetin you say,” and expressed his concern for the suffering people of the country, stating, “My heart e dey the street.” He also highlighted his involvement with Lepers Aid Ghana, emphasizing his commitment to supporting marginalized groups.

This exchange underscored the importance of connecting with diverse audiences and addressing their concerns through accessible communication.
