President Nana Addo Akufo-Addo praised Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) running mate, for consistently impressing him since they first worked together.
At the NPP’s 2024 Election Manifesto launch in Takoradi on Sunday, President Akufo-Addo described Napo as hardworking, visionary, and highly competent.
He noted that Dr. Prempeh has always delivered excellently on assignments, including his role as director of the president’s 2012 election campaign and his successful introduction of the free SHS policy in 2017.
As Energy Minister, Dr. Prempeh has not only maintained energy supply but also restructured the energy sector, proving himself to be a significant achiever and a fitting candidate for vice president alongside Dr. Bawumia.
President Akufo-Addo also praised Dr. Bawumia, calling him an achiever and highlighting his numerous positive accomplishments as vice president.
He expressed confidence that Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Prempeh would be excellent successors to his administration and urged NPP members to support their ticket for a victory in the December 7 elections.
“Dr. Bawumia and Napo are achievers and worthy successors. Promote this valuable NPP ticket to ensure our victory,” he encouraged.
