The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reportedly secured a court injunction to halt the re-collation of parliamentary results for the Nsawam-Adoagyiri constituency.

This legal move comes amid rising tensions and claims of discrepancies in the election results. The injunction seeks to stop the Electoral Commission’s (EC) ongoing efforts to resolve the contentious re-collation, which has fueled disputes between the NDC and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

On December 12, the EC ordered a re-collation of results from four constituencies in the Eastern Region—Suhum, Nsawam, Fanteakwa North, and Akwatia—following disagreements over the initial collation.

The re-collation process, which began at the National Police Training School in Tesano, Accra, was initially aimed at settling these disputes.

However, confusion arose following disagreements between the NDC and NPP, leading to the process extending into a second day.

The NDC further raised concerns about discrepancies in the Electoral Commission’s original pink sheets, adding to the confusion on Day 2.
