“Change is coming in the 2024 general elections,” said Professor Titus Beyuo, the former General Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association (GMA) and current Parliamentary Candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Lambussie.

He noted that Ghanaians are eager for John Dramani Mahama to transform the country’s fortunes.
Speaking to TV3’s Mawuena Egbeta in Tamale during the NDC’s campaign launch on Saturday, July 27, he stated, “What is happening here reflects the broader national sentiment—everyone is yearning for change, and there is widespread hope that H.E. John Mahama will guide the country towards prosperity.”
The NDC will launch its 2024 general election campaign in Tamale today, Saturday, July 27.
National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia announced that this year’s campaign will feature a new strategy, including a door-to-door approach.
The party will also unveil its manifesto, which includes key policies such as a 24-hour economy, the abolition of ex-gratia payments, and the export of nurses to tackle unemployment among health workers.
The event will include appearances by the party’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, his running mate, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, and other key officials such as National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia, General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, and members of the Council of Elders.
Tamale Central lawmaker Murtala Mohammed told TV3’s Mawuena Egbeta that, given that the NDC has already launched its campaign in other regions, it is fitting to rotate the venue for this launch.
