The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has requested a live broadcast of its emergency meeting with the Electoral Commission (EC) scheduled for Friday, September 6, 2024.

The meeting will focus on the NDC’s concerns about discrepancies in the Provisional Voters Register (PVR). In a statement signed by General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the NDC emphasized that a live broadcast would reflect the EC’s commitment to transparency.
The NDC, along with other groups, has highlighted errors and omissions found during the voter register exhibition from August 20 to August 27.
The EC has responded by stating that the exhibition process is intended to identify and correct errors, and that the final voter register, used for elections, is printed only after addressing all issues.
The upcoming meeting aims to address these concerns and ensure the integrity of the electoral process.
