Elikem Kotoko, Deputy National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), expressed the party’s unwavering confidence in securing a resounding victory in the upcoming election, with a projected margin of at least 52%.

This optimism stems from the exceptional leadership prowess and experience of their flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, who possesses the requisite expertise to propel the nation towards progress.

Addressing party loyalists at the acclamation ceremony of Joana Gyan Cudjoe, the NDC’s parliamentary candidate for the Wassa Amenfi Central Constituency, Kotoko emphasized the crucial need for a united front among party faithful to achieve this objective.

He praised Mahama’s leadership skills, citing his experience as Chair of the Economic Management Team and his willingness to confront challenges head-on.

Kotoko criticized the opposition’s economic policies, arguing that they lack substance and focus solely on digitalization. He emphasized the need for truthful and responsible leadership, willing to acknowledge and rectify mistakes.

He posed questions to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, regarding the state of the economy, citing the exchange rate, petrol prices, and cost of living.

In a related development, Kotoko reaffirmed the NDC’s commitment to promoting peace and peaceful processes in the upcoming election.

However, he stressed that the party will not compromise justice for the sake of peace, urging advocates of peace to equally demand justice.

He stated that the NDC will not endorse any document from the National Peace Council that undermines justice, reiterating the party’s unwavering dedication to upholding the principles of justice and fairness.
