The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential running mate, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, reassured market women at the Rawlings Market in Berekum of the party’s dedication to assisting their businesses.

During her visit, the market women expressed their need for support to expand their enterprises, highlighting that the market requires renovation and that many of their trades are conducted roadside, exposed to the elements.

In response to their concerns, Opoku-Agyemang acknowledged the difficulties faced by market women and promised to enhance market infrastructure and provide training programs to support their businesses.

“We will establish a dedicated fund for market women, offering affordable credit and expert guidance. Additionally, we will upgrade market facilities to cater to your needs,” she stated.

Her promises were met with enthusiasm from the market women, who view the NDC as a party that empowers women entrepreneurs.
