The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has expressed concerns over the Electoral Commission’s (EC) ability to commence printing the notice of poll and ballot papers as scheduled on Friday.

The opposition party’s doubts arise from their request for the EC to provide detailed statistics on the voters’ register and the ratio of ballots to be printed before the process can start.
The EC had planned to meet with party agents from the eight designated printing firms on Thursday to brief them on the printing procedures.
However, NDC executives, who attended the meeting, objected to both its timing and purpose, arguing that the EC should have first consulted with party leaders to discuss the printing process details before meeting with the agents.
Furthermore, the NDC expressed dissatisfaction with the EC’s failure to deliver the requested voter register statistics.
Meanwhile, after discussions with the EC’s Deputy Director of Electoral Services, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Director of Elections stated that the EC assured them the requested information would be provided—a position the NPP supports.
Despite this assurance, the NDC remains skeptical that the printing will begin as planned, citing unresolved issues.
