Imani Africa’s founding president and CEO, Franklin Cudjoe, has maintained his high praise for Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang’s speech during her unveiling as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) running mate on April 24, 2024.
Despite reactions from both political sides, Cudjoe reiterated his admiration for the speech, describing it as “presidential and uplifting” just hours after its delivery.
On social media, he challenged critics to present credible arguments against the speech, stating, “II have not seen any credible arguments against Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang’s audacious speech yesterday. I have none.”

The speech was delivered at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), where Prof. Opoku-Agyemang was formally announced as John Dramani Mahama’s running mate for the 2024 presidential elections.
The event was attended by NDC leaders, including Mahama, his wife Lordina, and the party’s National Chairman and General Secretary, as well as numerous lawmakers, executives, and supporters.
In her speech, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang emphasized the need for the NDC to do everything possible to regain power from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
She also made politically charged statements criticizing the government’s management of affairs since 2017.
