George Loh, the Deputy Director of Legal Affairs for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has announced that the party will vigorously challenge the results of three parliamentary seats declared by the Electoral Commission (EC) at the National Police Training School (NPTS) in Tesano.

On December 12, the EC declared the parliamentary results for Akwatia, Fanteakwa North, and Suhum constituencies in favor of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) following a recollation process at NPTS.
However, the NDC has raised concerns over the legality of both the process and the venue for these declarations, arguing that they violate established procedures and regulations.
In an interview on the Citi Breakfast Show on December 16, Loh stated that the NDC believes the Greater Accra Regional EC office exceeded its jurisdiction, as these declarations should have been made within the respective regions of the constituencies.
Loh emphasized that the NDC views the declarations as illegal and has resolved to challenge them through legal channels.
“The point we are making is that we were invited by the EC to the National Police Training School, and we went there and we waited, and we were of the view that even if the process is completed, it cannot be taken out of the respective regions because it is not in tandem with the law.
“An illegality is an illegality, and for that reason, we will be going to court. All those declarations done at the Police Training School are illegal and we will fight till the very end. We will fight them in court.”
