The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has vowed to produce concrete evidence to substantiate claims made by Richard Jakpa, the third accused in the ongoing ambulance procurement trial involving Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson.

This development comes after Jakpa’s explosive allegations in court on May 23, where he accused the Attorney General (AG) of attempting to coerce him into falsely implicating the Minority Leader and former Deputy Finance Minister.

Felix Ofosu Kwakye, an aide to NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama, revealed in a recent interview on Eyewitness News that the forthcoming evidence is robust and reliable, describing it as “ironclad” and “not just an allegation.”

He assured that the NDC would present the evidence in the early days of next week, emphasizing that the party does not make empty claims.

Ofosu Kwakye underscored the gravity of Jakpa’s claims, noting that he spoke under oath, which means he risked imprisonment if his statements were false.

He expressed confidence in the credibility of the evidence, stating that the NDC would not promise evidence unless it existed.

The NDC has reiterated its commitment to transparency and credibility, promising to reveal the nature of the evidence soon. “The evidence will speak for itself when we announce it,” Ofosu Kwakye concluded.
