Former Inspector General of police David Asante Apeatu, has sued Net2 presenter, Justice Kwaku Anane for defamation, this is in according to report sited by GhanaTalksRadio.
The defendant, is said to have stated on June 16, 2021, in edition of the show that the former IGP is backbone for notorious Ghanaians and Nigerians criminals.
He added, “Mr Asante was on the payroll of top criminals in Ghana and have refuse to call on their arrest.”
Not only that, he continued to accused the former Inspector General of police, working with the harden international criminals to release terror attacks on Ghanaians.
However, the plantiff urged that the accusations are figment of the defendant imagination.
According to the former IGP, the TV presenter formulated the allegations in a manner that target to damage his reputation and cause him public disaffection.
