John Mahama, the NDC’s flagbearer, has addressed the challenges facing the Shai-Osudoku constituency, citing its vast size and poor road conditions.

Speaking during his campaign in Dodowa, Mahama stressed the need for redemarcation to enhance governance and accessibility.

He remarked, “The size of the constituency poses significant problems. We arrived in Dodowa well past 3 o’clock after leaving Osudoku shortly after 12. This delay is partly due to the poor road infrastructure and the large size of the constituency.”

Mahama emphasized that if the NDC is elected, the upcoming redemarcation of constituencies and districts next year would be essential in tackling these issues.

“Luckily, there is an opportunity to redemarcate constituencies and districts next year when the NDC comes into office. So we will consider splitting Osudoku into two separate constituencies,” he added.
