Chelsea have officially extended striker Nicolas Jackson’s contract, keeping him at the club until 2033.

This new deal highlights the club’s trust in the Senegalese forward, who was acquired from Villarreal for £32 million last summer.

Jackson has made a notable impact since his arrival, scoring 14 goals in the Premier League last season and adding eight goals in his last eight matches, including a goal in the recent 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.

Following the match, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca praised Jackson’s new contract, stating, “The only thing I know is he’s signing a new contract – I don’t know how many years. I’m very happy. Nicolas is doing a fantastic job with us, on and off the ball.”

Maresca clarified that the extension is not indicative of any lack of faith in Jackson, despite the club’s summer interest in Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

“I have faith, and the club also, even before. Not because we are looking for another striker; not that we don’t trust Nicolas. We trust Nicolas,” he said.

The renewal comes on the heels of Cole Palmer’s own two-year extension, also lasting until 2033, as Chelsea seeks to strengthen its attacking lineup under Maresca.

Chelsea’s season has been inconsistent so far, with one win, one draw, and one loss in their opening three league matches.

Jackson’s ongoing development and contributions will be vital as the team aims to enhance its performance in the Premier League and beyond.
