Northern Regional Minister nominee Ali Adolf John has vowed to establish an enduring peace in the region during his parliamentary vetting.
Speaking before the Appointments Committee, Mr. Adolf emphasized his commitment to regional stability, particularly in an area that has experienced periodic conflicts.
“I cherish peace so much so one of the things I want to be remembered for has to do with peace. If I’m made the regional minister, under my regime I don’t want to see any conflict throughout my tenure.
“I think that based on the foundations I will build, it will be a continuous thing even after I am gone,” he stated.
His remarks come amid recent reports of localized conflicts in northern Ghana, underscoring the critical importance of his proposed peace-building approach.
Mr. Adolf’s testimony reflected a strategic vision of creating sustainable peace mechanisms that would persist beyond his immediate ministerial tenure.
