The National Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has issued a stern warning in response to alleged plans by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to vandalize billboards and posters of NPP presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

In a statement released on Friday, the NPP claimed it had credible information that the NDC was planning an operation that evening aimed at damaging their campaign materials.

The NPP has activated surveillance across all constituencies and regions to closely monitor the situation.

Signed by National Youth Organizer Salam Mustapha, the statement directed NPP members to retaliate by dismantling and destroying any campaign materials belonging to NDC candidate John Mahama if the alleged vandalism occurs.

Mustapha expressed frustration over what he described as a recurring issue of NPP campaign materials being destroyed by the NDC, and he criticized the police for their perceived lack of action.

He noted that the party has decided to take matters into its own hands, vowing to respond with proportional force.

“We have run out of patience, as the police have shown an inability to handle the situation,” he said, adding, “We will stop this nonsense ourselves by exacting a proportional counter-response.”

He called on all party executives to demonstrate their readiness for the upcoming elections and to protect their campaign materials with vigilance.
