Richard Ahiagbah, the National Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is currently in critical condition following a severe car accident.
The incident occurred around 1:30 am on Saturday on the Kumasi-Accra highway near Aduapompo.
Initial reports indicate that Ahiagbah was alone in his vehicle when it collided with an articulated truck.
Eyewitnesses suggest that driver fatigue may have contributed to the accident.
Ahiagbah was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi, where he is receiving intensive care. His condition remains critical.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
