Alfred Nii Kotey Ashie, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Odododiodioo, has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of planning to disrupt the upcoming December 7 elections.

Ashie claims that the NPP intends to send individuals disguised in long sleeves to stuff ballot boxes and use fake military officers at polling stations shortly before the polls close.
He further revealed that the NDC has filed a formal report with the police based on intelligence gathered.
Speaking to journalists after observing the special voting exercise at the Jamestown Police Station, Ashie stressed that the NDC will take action to protect the integrity of the election if law enforcement does not address their concerns.
“We have picked up signals on what they intend to do, we have picked up signals on getting people to wear long sleeves and sneaking papers into their sleeves, and also fake military personnel who will be coming about two hours to the end of the elections.
“In response to that, we had a meeting with the regional police command and we have informed them of the signals we have picked up, and he has assured us that nothing of that sort happens”.
