Supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) clashed in the Offinso North Constituency over the distribution of fertilizer at Akomadan.

According to reports, the NPP’s newly elected Member of Parliament, Fred Gyei Asamoah, had brought fertilizers before the elections and promised to distribute them to the electorate afterward.
The confrontation led to the death of one person and left two others injured, highlighting the tensions surrounding the post-election distribution process.

On Monday morning around 8 am, some NDC supporters went to the Akomadan cocoa shell demanding fertilizers from the NPP party executives.

According to them, those fertilizers are for the farmers and they will not allow the NPP executives to share among their party members.

This brought confusion, leading to the death of one person suspected to be an NDC supporter and the injuring of others.
