In an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on ChannelOne TV, former NDC Chairman Samuel Ofosu Ampofo reiterated his belief that John Dramani Mahama won the 2020 general elections, contrary to official results and the Supreme Court’s ruling in favor of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Ofosu Ampofo attributed the NDC’s significant vote tally to the vigilance of their supporters, who stood firm despite irregularities and intimidation from state security forces.

He cited the example of Ablekuma Central, where NDC supporters faced violence and intimidation, resulting in bullet wounds and one fatality.

Yet, they remained resolute and ensured the NDC’s victory in that constituency.

Ofosu Ampofo emphasized that these irregularities undermine the integrity of the electoral process, particularly when state security forces, meant to be neutral, take sides and brutalize citizens.

He maintained that the NDC’s victory was stolen due to these irregularities, and they would be the governing party if everything had proceeded fairly.
