Ernest Adomako, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Okaikwei South, has accused the Electoral Commission (EC) of allegedly adding around 1,083 unauthorized names to the voters register ahead of the December 7 general elections.

Adomako made these claims after submitting his nomination forms on September 10 at the EC office in Kaneshie, Accra.
He mentioned that the NDC has sent two letters to the EC about the issue but has yet to receive a response. While he did not disclose their next steps, he urged the EC to address the discrepancies.
Adomako is contesting against the NPP’s Darkoa Newman, who is seeking re-election.
Meanwhile, NDC National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has called on party supporters to visit EC offices nationwide on September 18 to protest against what they claim is an error-riddled register unsuitable for the upcoming elections.
The party has also informed the police and is demanding a forensic audit ahead of their planned demonstration.
