Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) in the nation have started to increase prices of petroleum products for the second pricing period of April 2024.

This implies that consumers of different petroleum products will once more need to pay extra at the fuel stations.

As of Tuesday, April 16, 2024, GOIL is offering petrol for sale at GH¢14.99 per litre, with diesel priced at GHc14.80.

This change in pricing was implemented by the state-owned OMC.

Despite a recent increase in the price of the commodity on April 4, 2024, following the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) decision to lift the suspension of the Price Stabilization and Recovery Levy (PSRL) on petroleum product prices.

The most recent change is anticipated to affect the prices of goods and services, which have already reached record levels.

Additionally, it will contribute to the current inflation rate, which stood at 25.8 percent in March of this year.

Other Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) in the nation are anticipated to adjust their prices in the next few hours or days.
