Contrary to earlier reports, Otto Addo stated that he has not engaged with the English-born Ghanaian player regarding a potential allegiance switch to Ghana.
When asked about the situation, Otto Addo emphasized that his focus lies with the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, particularly the matches against Mali and the Central African Republic.
“To be honest, my head is not there at all. I’mfully focused on Mali.” he said. The team will face Mali on June 7, 2024, and host the Central African Republic on June 10, 2024.
Otto Addo’s comments dispelled speculation surrounding Hudson-Odoi’s potential switch, making it clear that no discussions have taken place.
