Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, has confidently expressed his intention to lead the NPP to victory in the December 7 general elections.

During a rally in Ketu North, Volta Region traditionally a stronghold of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Bawumia emphasized the NPP’s accomplishments in government, positioning them as the driving force behind his anticipated win over former President John Dramani Mahama, the NDC flagbearer.
Speaking to an enthusiastic crowd, Bawumia highlighted the NPP’s performance over the past eight years, under both President Nana Akufo-Addo’s leadership and his own tenure as Vice President, claiming it far outshines the record of the NDC under Mahama’s administration.
After touring over 200 constituencies across Ghana, Bawumia expressed his confidence in the NPP’s victory.
“I have visited over 200 constituencies, and from what I’ve seen, I know we’re winning this election. By midnight on December 7, you’ll hear that the NPP has won,” he declared.
Bawumia’s campaign visit to the Volta Region, often viewed as the NDC’s stronghold, is part of a broader strategy to expand the NPP’s reach in areas where the party has traditionally had limited support.
Throughout his campaign, Bawumia has consistently highlighted the NPP’s track record in government, citing numerous policy achievements as evidence of the party’s strong governance and commitment to enhancing the lives of Ghanaians.
